At Forage and Faff, we are dedicated to ensuring that every visitor has a positive and enjoyable experience. Our site, with its natural landscapes and historic buildings, offers unique features that reflect its character. However, this also means that certain areas might present accessibility challenges.
The Polytunnel
It is possible to drive right to the door of the polytunnel, which has a woodchip floor. The car park and path is across uneven surfaces of gravel and grass. The bathroom facilities are up two steps.
The Potting Shed
Located in the garden of the farm house, the potting shed is accessed via pathways and two stone steps. The bathroom is on the first floor of the farm house, with the only access via a flight of stairs.
As a working farm, the site includes a variety of surfaces, including rough and uneven tracks. These might be challenging for some wheelchair users or individuals with mobility issues. The natural setting contributes to the rustic charm, but it can also mean less predictable surfaces. We are continuing to build on our experiences and facilities and hope to be able to provide better facilities for all abilities very soon.
If you have any questions or specific needs related to accessibility, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are more than happy to provide any additional information or assistance you may need.

I often get asked if it’s possible to bring little babies to workshops or if it’s a breastfeeding friendly space. Girls you could literally whip a boob right out and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. My first borns first word was boob - you’re in a safe space whatever way you need to feed your little one. So bring the babies, and any acutriments you might need to get out of the house for a few hours, they’re a little extension of you for a short, special time and they’re so welcome to Forage&Faff. If you give me a heads up before your workshop I can have a highchair or buggy here for you if it saves you packing one more thing in those early months of parenthood.
For the kiddo’s - We do host some workshops specifically with kids in mind, think forest school style activities while parents/guardians get a hot cuppa and a chair. Keep an eye on socials/website for upcoming events.

We have parking on site but it’s a working farm so please note yards are stoned, can get a bit wet and muddy and there can be other farm vehicles moving around the lanes and yards. Take care coming in laneways and if possible car share as spaces are limited and it saves lots of cars getting lost on the somewhat scenic journey here!

The farm is located in the wilds of Shilnavogie - one of hose middle of nowhere spots that feels like you’ve stepped out of the real world for a minute. While the perfect place to get lost, it’s actually very central, only 20 minutes from Broughshane/Ballyclare and 15 minutes from the gorgeous Glens of Antrim, and Glenarm village.
